All dressed up and nowhere to go– Things to do in San Diego

It’s a little rainy today in San Diego so I thought I’d just post a things to do in San Diego (some activities not recommended on the very few rainy days we have)
First I’d like to start off with Adobe Falls, just opposite of SDSU along the 8.  I’ve made a blog post waaay back when you can find it here and see all the rest of the pictures I took. It’s a nice little place that’s good to explore and hang out for a bit.

San Diego Beaches
So many to choose from, and each has a vibe of their own. Personally OB and PB are amongst the most popular down here.  I do like to go to OB for their pier and sunset cliffs (picture below)
Or go to La Jolla and chill with the sea lions 🙂
Go outside and hike, there’s plenty of opportunities to be active out here. There’s a lot of trail that many San Diegans don’t know about including myself. I was recently looking through a San Diego Hiking book and didn’t realize how many trails we actually had. Below is a picture from 3 sisters falls in Julian. It was the hardest hike I’ve ever done, you can see the post about it here.
Explore downtown. I guess the Gaslamp is more touristy but there’s also Seaport Village, Little Italy (I often forget we have a Little Italy) and so on. From what I understand our downtown is pretty small compared to other cities but I think it’s a good size I guess? Lol.
Never too old to learn! We have quite a few museums and exhibits that even I haven’t been to. They’re all in Balboa Park, and if you keep up with my blog it fairly obvious how often I’m there and how much the park has to offer. The Natural History Museum is always switching up their exhibits so it’s good to keep an eye out 🙂
(monsters & myths exhibit hence my dragon wings)
Good Eats San Diego!
Personally SD could really use some spice in the food scene, however it is getting better, you just have to know where to look. I love to find cute places and exceptionally good hole in the walls.
Up2U cafe is pretty popular, a lot of people go to study or play games, their cafe on Convey is ALWAYS crowded. Everyone and their moms go to play jenga and sit around drinking milk out of mason jars.
Korean BBQ, Manna on Convoy. (just realized I didn’t edit but now I’m too lazy.)
And my personal favorite, TACOS EL GORDO. Real tacos :’) I feel bad for everyone not from socal tbh. I feel like we’re the only ones in America that argue of which taco shops are better. I usually go here a few times a month lol (or more) I get 2 tacos de cabeza and lengua (head and tongue) and I usually get full after my fourth but I think it’s mostly bc I drink so much jamaica or tamarindo 🙁
Tocumbo to satisfy your worst cravings.
There’s so much more to do in San Diego that I forget about and don’t appreciate, and I’m aways planning roadtrips and going other places. But at the end of the day I know  wouldn’t want to live anywhere else lol.
